After completing my engineering studies in Germany, I embarked on a career as a project manager in the enterprise software industry. Over the course of several years, I ascended to the position of shareholder and CEO of a mid-sized software development company situated near Hamburg. Through my leadership and strategic planning, I successfully grew the company over a span of 21 years, transforming it into the market leader in digital commerce for SME within Germany. In the end, the company employed 230 talented individuals and boasted a comprehensive suite of software products that catered to a diverse range of needs.One of the biggest challenges was consistently finding new software developers in Germany. We considered outsourcing development abroad and tried nearshoring and offshoring multiple times, but each attempt failed.In retrospect, adding new colleagues from offshoring to the German development team would have provided significant competitive advantages. This realization motivated me to help other software companies in Germany leverage these advantages. I now reside in Indonesia and build software development teams for German companies here. Why Indonesia? Because it has the third-largest young population globally, after India and China. Many young software developers with excellent English skills are trained here. We receive an average of between 300 and 700 applications for a job advertisement within the first 48 hours. We place great emphasis on our corporate culture and invest in employee training and further education. Our colleagues primarily work remotely from various locations in Indonesia, and we organize an on-site event every six months where we learn together and engage in team-building activities.
