Include.org is a small charity that wants to make the world a more welcoming place for people with understanding and speaking difficulties. It's main activity is Include Choir, an inclusive choir for people with and without understanding and speaking difficulties. Next to this it also delivers inclusive communication training and activities. As Vice-Chair of the board of trustees, I:- act as a sparring partner to the CEO by listening to her, giving opportunities to voice and test her ideas and give advise if needed;- together with the chair work on further improving the governance of the organization by making best use of competencies available in the board of trustees, further improving skills of the board and making sure the board is aligned around the strategy;- continue to assist the CEO in the business planning process;- work with the Treasurer trustee and finance administrator on improving the financial reporting processes.

_SocialStarters run immersive career experiences for business consultants who share their skills with impact organisations and learn about social enterprise, whilst leaving a lasting social or environmental impact. During my placement I was working with Include.org who want to make the world a more welcoming place for people with understanding and speaking difficulties. Using my skills in strategy development, business planning and finance, I worked on co-creating a business plan with the organisation and created an impact by giving more clarity in the strategic direction of the organization and helping to identify gaps and actions needed to set-up a more sustainable long term impact business model.

• Defining and executing European launch strategy for new medicines in immunology, focus on rheumatology, as core member of the European Brand Value Team• Responsible for gaining market access and reimbursement by preparing a clear value story supported by robust scientific and economic evidence taking into account the diverging country requirements within the EMEA region during the different phases of the drug development cycle• Supporting new business development in the evaluation of potential new product in-licensing for the region with market access and pricing assumptions and evidence requirements

• Prepare and roll-out the European pricing policy for a new product in Hepatitis C• Monitor and approve adherence to pricing policy during ongoing local price negotiations with health authorities in the countries within the region• Investigate alternative access schemes to broaden or speed up access

• Help set up of a new operating model to launch a new product in Hepatitis C through a central European sales and marketing organization. Nice experience of a start-up mentality within a multinational company• Designed and implemented lean financial and logistics processes and systems in close collaboration with finance departments, supply chain and IT• Helped achieve financial targets through business planning (mid and short term), actual vs budget follow-up

• Core responsibility: collecting and consolidating the true “cost of goods sold” across the complex supply chain for all the Janssen pharmaceutical products sold worldwide supported by my team of 3 experienced direct reports• Made significant optimizations to processes and reporting by reducing complexity, cycle times and frequency of data collection• Project manager for the finance workstream to integrate two in-market products regained from one of our competitors into the Janssen commercial business• Supported Long Range Financial planning and Post-Acquisition analysis of Crucell, a vaccines company that was acquired by Janssen. Also coordinated the finance related activities for the Janssen-Crucell commercial integration in the EMEA region

• Managed and lead multiple treasury processes with my teams: settlements/payments, Intercompany Lending, Cash Management, In-house banking, maintained and negotiated bank relations• Good mix of operational responsibility for running the processes and teams with project responsibilities as the treasury department was growing and extending its service offerings to the affiliates in the group
