We are dedicated to fostering sustainable development in Puerto Rico by strengthening the capacity of socioeconomically disadvantaged entrepreneurs, low-income communities, community-based organizations, and businesses. Our approach is not just about survival, but about thriving and engaging in more sustainable and solidarity-based practices, which sets us apart.Vitrina Solidaria’s most recognized program is El Yunque Emprende, created through a historic collaborative agreement with El Yunque National Forest to strengthen and accelerate business initiativesthat promote a better quality of life in eastern Puerto Rico). Since incorporation, over 1100 entrepreneurs have benefited from Vitrina Solidaria and its training and business support services.Other achievements include the design of the Solidarity Business Canvas, based on the Business Canvas Model created by Alexander Osterwalder. Vitrina Solidaria operates with a collaborative approach, running three offices, two storefronts, and one coworking space. We have a dedicated staff of twenty people and strong, long-term alliances with public and private institutions. These include community-based and environmental organizations, academia, the private sector, and local small businesses.
