With a proven history of adding value to early stage startups through to ASX listed entities, I am more than a standard mentor. Drawing on my experience across multiple sectors, technical founders are able to unpack and articulate the value their company creates for customers, investors and shareholders. I operate comfortably with many unknowns and can translate these into clear pathways forward for founders. Companies I work with are revolutionary, trying to make the world a better place, or working on big problems worth solving. These get me excited and, coupled with smart, driven people, I have been able to add significant value. I don't just work with companies, I understand the challenges of entrepreneurship first hand. Recently, I exited my own startup, with a trade sale to a group backed by industry giants. Some of the other skills I bring with me: - A Chartered Accountant who has run multiple businesses and managed financially stressed companies to turnaround. - A Graduate of the AICD with board experience. - Experienced hand at due diligence. - Casual academic teaching the design of metrics. - Genuinely experienced in social impact measurement and governance.- Intensely curious problem solver with a values-driven approach.Depending on the business need, my engagements could look like: - Meeting with founders to help them re-prioritise, allowing the company to move up the Commercial Readiness Level ladder; - Helping technical founders navigate the commercial realities of bringing a deep tech product to market;- Helping technical founders explain how their solution provides value to investors, customers and stakeholders. - Working with investors and shareholders to understand the true position of the company, or steps to achieve financial sustainability; - Working with early stage company boards to understand which metrics to use going forward and key milestones for their next fundraise.
