My name is Vansh Agarwal, I live in New Delhi, India. Hailing from a business family, I havebeen visiting my father at work and observing how the business functioned since a really earlyage, which is part of what sparked my interest in business. I chose Royal Holloway because it gives me an opportunity to study at the Moore school of management which would help my business mindset grow, while having exposure to incredible internship and workshop opportunities. Interning at an e-sports start-upand being part of the student council in high school, really helped me build great communicationand organisation skills, which helped me become a good leader and a great team player.Countless meetings with different student council representatives and staff members helped mebuild confidence and be a better public speaker while also helping me build persuasion skills. Aspart of the student council, I had to plan several major events as part of a group which is where Istarted picking up team skills like good communication and organisation skills. To organise suchbig events took a lot of organisation such as booking vendors, getting decorations in order andkeeping a lot of documents organised was a hard task but it helped me better my skills oforganisation and as a team player. Building these skills further helped me in an online internshipI was a part of. As it was a e-sports start-up my main job was to work with the team and promotethe new business while also helping them organise online tournaments for games like Fifa andFortnite. Being able to communicate well with my team on an online platform was reallychallenging but being able to get 10 kids to sign up by myself for their first Fifa tournament wasthe most out of any intern. Working with a start-up also gave me a sense of the workings of acompany and helped me be a better team player. I plan to strengthen my existing skills while alsoalways looking for room to learn and experience new things.
