This system drew raw ingredients from 23 sources, batched in 4 blend tanks and transferred finished product to 4 filling lines. The system was controlled by four Allen Bradley 5/80E PLC’s using Fix32 as an HMI and SQL Server for data collection. The electrical and mechanical system upgrade increased production by 35%.• Programmed, tested and field commissioned a three kettle soup batching system for General Mills Inc. / Progresso soup plant. The system was capable of making 5000 lbs of soup per kettle. Utilized DLC Batch, Wonderware, Allen Bradley control logix processors, and 18 Power Flex drives. The system produced up to 360k cans of soup a day. • Lead programmer for a television tube tracking system. Thomson Multimedia’s plant, located in Mexicali Mexico produced television tubes for several TV manufacturers. The system used Accu-sort barcode readers to collect and store data in an Oracle database. Tube and pallet labels were then printed using Zebra 105Se thermal and Printronix P5000 printers.• Support programmer for a Keebler ice cream cone and pie crust plant. This project added and reworked multiple batching and ingredient delivery systems for the purpose of producing pie and cone batter. Pie crust production was increased by 33% and cone batter production was increased by 15%• Developed a program to train Avanceon employees in the proper use and techniques of electrical control system troubleshooting. The course provided both written and hands-on tests and taught the basic use of multimeters, amp meters, loop calibrators, HART transmitters, oscilloscopes and troubleshooting theory. -
