My career has been in restructuring and scaling small to medium-sized companies, as a team member or consultant, mainly in the multimedia and logistics industries. As my fortieth birthday approached, I took time to take stock of what I’d accomplished, where I was, and what I hoped for in the coming decade. My professional and personal mission has always been the same: to create, maintain, or better community. Community starts at the family level. Community is present at the work level, both teammates and colleagues in the field. One’s town, city, region, state, and so on. I decided the decade of my forties would be creating and growing a vessel for community. One that I, along with important team members, constructed, adjusted, painted, honed, and guided.Why freight shipping? Why auto hauling? In a highly unregulated industry, I recognized a space and need to bring together, and maintain great relationships, with honest carriers, dispatchers, and even other auto shipping brokers. Beverly Logistics Group is run by me and my teammates, but it's composed of people making honest livings, making each other’s lives easier, more fun, and relaying that to our client base.
