Responsibilities:o Sustaining current products (to maintain safety standards and meet customer requirements) and also ensuring that any design changes adhere to the certification granted for the product.o Conducting internal testing (ingress protection/hydrostatic pressure testing/over pressure testing/reference pressure testing) and scheduling agency testing on products with design changes to acquire required certification.o Maintaining and releasing approved drawings to production via BlueCielo Meridian and also ensuring that the engineering section of the item master on Oracle is kept up-to-date.Key Achievements:o Globalized design of stainless steel enclosures, resulting in an increase in suppliers and inventory, thereby leading to nearly 7% savings on base enclosure raw material cost in the Asian market.o Helped increase current interrupt rating from 10kAIC to 65kAIC on five breaker enclosures, and to 25kAIC on three panelboard enclosures hence opening up new markets (in the Saudi Arabia area).o Eradicated a safety issue by redesigning external actuator on panelboards. Cost of the new design was maintained almost the same even though there was a 20% increase in material used.o Understood how to apply articles 500-516 of the NEC® to products, how to interpret Underwriters Laboratory standards UL1203 and UL50, and CSA standards CSA22.2 No. 29-15 and CSA22.2 No. 30.
