Licensing And Operational Compliance Specialist
As a Licensing and Operational Compliance Specialist working in the Coles Risk and Regulatory Affairs, I am responsible for providing strategic advise to the business on licensing and regulatory matters to support stores across all Coles brands, including Coles Supermarkets, Spirit Hotels, Coles Liquor and Coles Express.I provide assistance and support to the business in respect to its legislative obligations by identifying, assessing and managing regulatory compliance risks relevant to the brand. I act as the subject matter expert for Coles on licensing laws, regulations and restrictions.I have achieved strong compliance and licensing related experience within risk management, legal, audit and government regulatory environments. I have gained experience working with government, regulators, stakeholders, local authorities and community bodies. I have excellent understanding of licensing laws and regulations applicable to the Australian regulatory retail environmentMy key responsibilities are:•Management of liquor, gaming food and tobacco licensing applications including preparing and lodging applications, engaging external consultants (where required) and dealing with external regulators. •Identify, assess and manage regulatory compliance risks relevant to the brand and develop and implement corrective action plans•Management of breaches and compliance issues to minimise impact on broader business.•Review and develop policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
