I come from family that are both technical and creative. My mother was a school teacher in NYC in the 1950s. My father was a software developer in air traffic control for 35 years, and for many years, my sister was Executive Editor of an IT trade magazine. It's not surprising therefore that I've been in technology for over 25 years--specifically in pharma and medical, and biotech for over 10 years, finance before that, and in broadcasting for the previous decade.My experience is broad, including programming, management, analysis, data and systems modeling, etc. I have a strongly business-oriented approach, understanding technology but also business needs, processes and obstacles. I am as comfortable with scientists and business people as I am with coders. I have an intuitive grasp of systems and workflows, and an ability to articulate concepts to a broad range of audiences. I also have a film degree and experience as a stand-up comic.
