While my friends loved posing for the camera, I wanted to be the one clicking. While the world waited to listen to the 7 o'clock news, I wished to be the one reading it to them. While others were busy talking, I listened. To me, the world of media is truly fascinating.Being a Community Manager at KRDS, a Social Media & Digital Marketing Agency has introduced me to a whole new world of hashtags and trends. After experimenting with print and broadcast, I wanted to understand the online space and its impact on the global media marketing. This job has given me the chance to see and study Social Media not just as a definite influence but also as an emerging trend. Within my short span at KRDS, I have been recognized and awarded as the 'Ultimate Star' for my honest efforts. I have also been given complete page ownership for big brands like Lifecell International, Prestige's Sublime House of Tea, Zicom, Vodafone India etcMy undergraduate program has transformed my mere curiosity in Journalism to a potential career pursuit. Therefore I pay special attention to keep myself updated and to be well-read in order to broaden my horizon. The Masters program in International Broadcast Journalism at the Birmingham City University, UK has helped me have an in depth understanding of the core values of journalism and gain practical experience in news sourcing, reporting and editing. With the experience gained through my studies and the skills learnt from various internships in the field of Journalism, I seek to enhance my career.
