I worked in the Web Acceleration team for Jupiter (EchoStar XVII) satellite broadband system. The Jupiter Web Acceleration system is similar to its predecessor Turbo Page but is more efficient and uses the latest technologies.For the first 9 months on this project, I worked on Web Acceleration Client which is based on embedded technology and resides in the VSAT (similar to set top box). I worked in embedded C++ development on linux.I have also worked on Web Acceleration Server (WAS), which is a huge Multi-threaded application. It works likes its predecessor Turbo Page Server which prefetches objects requested by a user. For this project I had used technologies like core JAVA, python, shell scripting, TCP/IP etc.As part of the Web Acceleration team, I was responsible for developing end to end applications to reduce the traffic and latency over satellite link, thus providing a terrestrial internet like experience to the end user.The following link gives an overview of how the Web Acceleration Technology works.

Worked as a software developer in 4-Dimensional Vitual Globe team. Successfully developed the logic to fetch metro train schedule data using multiple HTTP connections and process it to feed it to the 4D application which would display it. Analyzed the application to find memory leaks and performance issues. Worked mainly with C++, Visual Studio, Linux, GCC etc.

1. Completed the project of updating and redesigning the website for Herschel S. Horowitz Center for Health Literacy, School of Public Health.2. Designed and developed a web-based application to help Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at UMD, conduct research, which included GUI and back-end development.

Worked as a part of Call Control and Signalling team for Dilithium Transcoding Gateway 3000 (DTG3000). Responsible for developing software in C/C++ over linux and windows (Visual Studio 2005). Worked on SIP, ISUP, BICC signalling protocols for signalling. Responsible for recommending and integrating flexelint code analysis tool with DTG3000.

Conducted research on Pico]OS (Real Time embedded OS).Studied the stability of Pico]OS in terms of jitter for multitasking; integrated it with AVR ATMEGA32 micro-controller. (C/C++, Pico]OS, Atmega32)

Implemented Human Action Identification & Activity Recognition, Project involved detection of a person in a scene and to identify basic actions using a series of observations thereby interpreting the activity (OpenCV, C++, MATLAB)

Studied and analyzed Voice XML Interactive Voice Response Systems for mobile phones.
