Work ethics and being adventurous don't come together many said but reality at Aditya Birla Capital is quite different. The people, the work culture and the experience that I achieved in this place in the short amount of time is not comparable. Apart from selling of investment plans to people. We had to work on various side projects for the company's internship program. We were trained in understanding how the field of finance works, starting from germination of a company and how the company is dissolved, How a company raised capital from various sources. What would be the cost of capital from various sources, etc were taught to us over there. Apart from that we had to prepare and present a business viability plan in front of the head business mentor which was another important highlight of the internship. Training in research work, investing, fundamental and technical analysis, credit rating, etc were given to the interns. I learnt a great deal of things in the areas of stock market, advisory, mutual funds, investment banking and insurance, which strengthened the theoretical knowledge that I had achieved in the first year of MBA.

How to sell was something that I was always aware of but the tactics and skills that I acquired from Buyelectric.in were beyond my wildest dreams. This experience however short it was meant a lot in shaping my mindset and thought process. Every day visits in markets and talking to shopkeepers improved my communication skills and taught me to literally use common sense. The work was related to both online and offline marketing. Online marketing consisted of creating social media awareness about the company. The offline marketing consisted of creating a distribution channel for Buyelectric.in. I converted 40 stores as business partners for the company and connected the company to over 100 stores. I enjoyed working at Buyelectric.in and it was a life altering experience.
