I am an MSc graduate in Biomedical Engineering form the University of Oxford, United Kingdom and was awarded a first class honors degree in Medical Electronics and Instrumentation from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom. I have studied and developed immense interests in subjects such as Electronics, Electronic Circuit and Design, Fluid Mechanics and Medical Imaging.I have a proven track record of strong project organization and group work at both academic and industrial level working with UK’s leading healthcare organization NHS (Department of Clinical Engineering), As a part of my final year project I worked with them and constructed a circuit which can measure the Electrocardiogram of the person and transmitting this signal to a computer via a RS232 port as well as a Bluetooth link.At Oxford University, I was a part of a group project, wherein we were supposed to suggest the best method in planning an orthopedic surgery in case of Spastic Diaplegic Cerebral Palsy Patients. We did an in-depth study on gait analysis and imaging (especially MRI) to suggest better planning methods for treating cerebral palsy patients. I have done my dissertation on CFD simulation and modeling of catheterization of aortic dissection, employing computational simulation with advanced fluid mechanics, structural dynamics and coupling techniques to model this system. The Software used is Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) - GEOM, ACE and VIEW. During the summer holidays in June 2006, I decided to do a two month Internship as a biomedical engineer in P.D. Hinduja National Hospital in Mumbai. My main focus was on maintenance and service of all biomedical instruments and learning to troubleshoot and dealing with complaints.
