Tenure-track Assistant Professor with research focused on scientific machine learning, scientific computing, and high performance computing.

I am one of two academic Associate Chairs from the College of Engineering. I am responsible for developing degree programs in FinTech, industry outreach, and promoting research and development in FinTech.

I am responsible for managing the growth and quality of our Master of Software Development (MSD) program. This role involves curriculum development, industry interaction, recruiting both students and staff, formulating advertising campaigns, and helping lead a team of faculty and staff to administer the MSD program.

I was involved in teaching and course development for the Master of Software Development (MSD) program at the University of Utah. I also conducted research in scientific computing and physics-informed machine learning.

Research and teaching.

I worked on developing meshfree numerical methods for the simulation of platelet aggregation. I also developed hybrid meshfree and grid-based methods.

I was a Teaching Assistant for the graduate class Advanced Scientific Computing II. I assisted primarily with lecturing duties and, to a smaller extent, with the grading. This course covered Numerical Methods for solving ODEs and PDEs, including Finite Difference, Finite Element and Finite Volume methods. It also covered the basics of Von Neumann analysis.

I was a Teaching Assistant for the graduate class Advanced Scientific Computing I. I assisted primarily with lecturing duties while also helping with the grading. I lectured 5 times over the course of this semester and taught topics like the GMRES/MINRES methods, Eigenvalue/SVD algorithms, Radial Basis Function interpolation and Numerical Differentiation to first semester graduate students. I believe this helped develop my teaching skills in preparation for a career in academia.

I worked on extracting fiber directions from MRI data.
