Produced by Picture This Pvt Ltd, Komaali Kings was the first Sri Lankan feature-length Tamil film to be released through a recognized distribution channel in Sri Lanka after four decades. Opening to rave reviews from industry insiders, moviegoers and the media (both foreign and local), the film was released in over forty cinemas nationwide and was being hailed as an important milestone in the rebirth of the Sri Lankan Tamil film industry. Roles & Responsibilities:• Wrote the English Subtitles for the feature film and for all promotional materials accompanying the film (trailers, clips, etc.) • Wrote, edited and distributed press releases and media advisories.• Served as the point of contact for all English media news outlets and publicists. • Conceptualized and launched marketing campaigns, both, above the line and below the line, as well as on digital and social media platforms. Accomplishments:• Successfully reached over 1 million key demographics across Sri Lanka, Canada, UK and Europe.• Secured international media coverage by media news outlets such as the BBC and Al Jazeera.• Worked closely with industry partners to successfully secure the rights to screen the film on-board both, Sri Lankan Airlines and Emirates.
