My role is to encourage higher participation of international students studying at UWA and interested in data science, in the club activities. These activities range from study nights to networking events with relevant companies and industry professionals. Was responsible for independently delivering software training courses in Word, Excel, Power BI, and SQL at various levels - Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced. The data on TUM was not linked to information on downtime events available in SAP.• My task was to link and combine information from these 2 data sources, as one of the current ones was not providing accurate information.• I looked at a particular SAP transaction, fetched the relevant tables and fields from the data lake using SQL, created a view, and pulled in this information (along with some transformations) in Power BI. The output was a drill-through page that the users could access from a fleet group or time code level.• This additional feature in the report improved efficiency by at least 70% as context on downtime events was readily available in one place.The feedback and interest shown by the senior leaders at the end of program presentation were extremely positive.Apart from the project, I also worked on ad-hoc tasks, and attended virtual lunch & learn sessions and other developmental activities.
