Varun Malik is currently the Head of Business Development of Varsity Group Asia Pacific ("VGAP"), an alternative investment manager focusing on Real Estate. Its prime strategies include the Living Sector, Education, Aged-Care and Technology related assets. VGAP is an associate company of Scape Australia, a PBSA and BTR focused developer and operator.Varun formerly served as the Head of Real (Private) Assets in Asia Pacific for Morgan Stanley Capital international ("MSCI"). He led MSCI's efforts in client organization, overseeing sales, relationship management, client services as well as new product development in the Private Assets space. Prior to MSCI, Varun served as Head of Sector Coverage and Acquisition Finance in Real Estate (ex-Japan) at Mitsubishi UFJ Bank. He has also held senior roles at his time at firms such as UBS AG and Standard Chartered Bank.
