Introduced never-before concept of merging technology with craft techniques to generate additional business opportunities. Presented an out-of-the-box collection while liasioning the organisation’s demand for newness & an ancient old craft's need for the change of base material. (Biggest Challenge)Utilized the Ivory Tusk craftsman’s skill set while replacing their foundation material, Ivory, with a similar material, DuPont Corian (identical physical attributes), preserving the craft's essence while delivering a revolutionary result.Impact: My initiative substantially improved the plight of the entire community practising a languishing craft, Ivory Tusk Carving. The complete success of the project allowed me to propose a first-of-its-kind pitch for similar projects using under-explored crafts by bridging the gaps of artisan's limitations & constraints.
