On-site consultant for Merck, in the Release Management Office (RMO).Project: Mac & iOS Platform Services• Responsible for evaluating vendors and developing a remote test environment strategy using the iRAPP toolset to enable rapid deployment of iOS app testing, resulting in launch of the app ahead of schedule while saving the organization over $15K. • Created test scripts to automate testing of new systems. • Conducted white box and performance testing of new systems to verify their fitness for purpose and fitness for use. • Created technical documentation, including screen casts, training materials, support manuals, and presentations. Project: Application Decommissioning and Infrastructure Retirement• Responsible for redesigning Merck’s strategy for retiring applications and infrastructure, to align it with enterprise goals for change management. • Retired over 64 applications in Merck’s Global Human Health division in a timely manner and archived the data, saving the client over $ 1M. • Reduced organizational risk by enforcing regulatory and legal review of data disposition for decommissioned applications. Project: LELO Launch Excellence Dashboards• Restructured project after key stakeholders left the company, resulting in successful recovery to original project timelines. • Converted proof of concept application to steady-state in production environment. • Coached team on best practices to keep project on schedule. Project: Merck Vaccines • Oversaw a major re-launch of marquee revenue-generating website and guided it through a transition to an agile monthly major release cadence to deliver user value as quickly as possible. • Managed Change Advisory Board with business, engineering, and support teams to reduce risk and ensure smooth service transitions from development to production. • Utilized BMC Remedy to plan, schedule, document, and review application releases. • Secured acceptance and approval of deliverables from key stakeholders.
