Vasanthi Sunkara, CEO & President at ADEM, has been leading the company’s business operations since 2010. She holds a BS in accounting and an MBA from the University of Louisville and has over 18 years of business analysis and project management experience and has extensive knowledge in R&D grant management. Vasanthi is an accomplished business executive with a proven track record for driving growth and innovation in the manufacturing sector. She has spent over 15 years in leadership roles previously at Louisville Water Company and National Processing Company. She is committed to working with strategic partners and customers, coordinating R&D projects with federal agencies and collaborations with R&D teams. Ms. Sunkara sits on the Board as a Director. Under Ms. Sunkara’s leadership, the company received around $7.5M in grant funding and contracts and also made their first commercial sale to a large US conglomerate in the Middle East. Vasanthi is an advocate for STEM education and has been a board member for the Dupont Manual regional science fair and has been a judge both at the regional and state fairs for the past 9 years. Outside of her professional endeavors, Vasanthi enjoys visiting local nurseries and greenhouses and is a founding member and trustee of the community organization Telugu Association of Kentucky.
