Computer Vision course in Masters in Data Science

Advised by Drs. Ruth Rosenholtz and Bill Freeman with projects at the intersection of human and computer vision including:- Evaluating temporal stability in adversarially trained deep networks through perceptual straightening- Enhancing the MS-COCO dataset with a peripheral vision transform to improve network performance- Combining optimization with multi-scale pyramid texture models to validate empirically derived summary statistics.

Graduate work with Dr. Bruno Olshausen Investigating the spatiotemporal statistics of dynamic natural visual signals, and their relationship to the human visual and motor systems, with a focus on low-level statistics including the Power Spectrum. Collaboration with Dr. Martin Banks Lab in device design and data collection for mobile eye-tracking with human subjects.

Research Internship in the New User Experience Group. Applying models of human visual system to improve display and rendering technology.

Genomic analyses including RNA-seq, differential expression and time course analyses, motif discovery, coexpression, cluster analysis, gene ontology and pathway analysis, and single cell methods.

Refactored MATLAB code used in image processing of the rat audio cortex in order to increase speed and accuracy by introducing parallelization, eliminating disk reads and writes, and using vectorization.

Served as the head administrator of two Mac and PC computer labs with printers, performing software installation and updates via the network, troubleshooting and fixing all hardware and software problems, setting up new systems, as well as looking after the Physics department web server. Also performed management, inventory, and repair of experimental equipment for 3 concurrent undergraduate Physics lab courses, including engineering and assembly of new equipment.construction of new equipment.

Head of Simulations on the Radiation Mitigation team for the Lunar Micro Rover Project. (www.lmr.nasa.gov)Researched the space and lunar environments with respect to ionizing radiation, and used SPENVIS to simulate the effects of this environment on a rover's electronic components with various proposed passive radiation mitigation systems.

Designed, completed, and presented a robotics research project studying shape fitting using only proprioception with a humanoid robot
