I am a DHA licensed Specialist of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.As the Specialist doctor of the Center, I am responsible for medically assessing the patients that visit Excellency Center in Downtown Dubai and coming up with a treatment plan for them. Usually I oversee the treatment of a wide variety of musculoskeletal disorders, but sometimes patients with neurological disorders will also ask for my advice. During the course of treatment, I oversee the therapy's progress and collaborate with my physiotherapists to achieve the best possible results for each individual case.If required, especially in complicated cases or post-surgical conditions, I will also communicate with the relevant MDs for the patient's greater benefit or refer the patient to another specialty or any additional workup procedure deemed necessary.Finally, I am responsible for answering any questions that the patient or his family may have regarding his medical problem.

I operated my own medical office in a central location of Athens, offering consultations for a wide variety of musculoskeletal and neurological problems to private patients that would either contact me on their own initiative or be referred to me from MDs of other specialties.Treatment options were also offered to patients that could be treated at this level (usually musculoskeletal issues), mostly focusing in physiotherapy but minor interventions like soft tissue or joint injections were also utlized.

As part of the legal requirement to acquire the Specialty, I was a Resident of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in a major Athens Hospital. "Asklepion" Hospital has the longest running PM&R clinic in Greece and is one of the three major public inpatient PM&R centers in Greece. We handled a variety of disorders, with inpatients suffering from significant disabilities but the clinic also had an outpatient facility, an EMG lab and a gait analysis lab. I was also honored to train under some of the most senior and well known Greek physiatrists, The legally required training of 3.5 years was finished in December 2010, but I got a commendation from my Director and my contract was extended, so I stayed in the clinic until August of 2011 when I had to leave in order for new Residents to start their training.
