Aids with: obtaining ocular and medical history, collecting and entering data into the patient’s electronic medical record, performing clinical testing, diagnostic imaging, documenting/scribing physician findings, assisting the physician during examinations and procedures, and patient counseling, with relevant administrative responsibilities.

Aid students with homework assignments, test preparation, and more for basic microbiology, introductory biology, genetics and molecular biology, and biochemistry.

Aided clinical research team at Boston Children’s to analyze and organize data with human subjects with various neurodegenerative conditions, specifically Spinal Muscular Atrophy and Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Shadowed and interacted with various health care providers from doctors to physical therapists to nurses. Learned various aspects of the clinical research process by being able to create and submit various IRB protocols and CRFs. Worked on an individual project which showed the process of executing a research project from initial IRB protocol approval to evaluating patients and data analysis.

Worked with the student disability resource center to provide organized notes for genetics class.

Research assistant at an electrophysiology lab in the Motor Neuron Center at Columbia University Medical Center for the summer of 2015 and 2016. Worked on a specific project evaluating the relationship between serotonergic neurons and the progression of Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Performed various laboratory techniques such as, but not limited to, immunohistochemistry, electron microscopy, PCR, gel electrophoresis, and analysis.

Worked as a tennis camp counselor, organized various events for the campers, taught basic skills in tennis, etc. Also worked as a counselor for cooking and law camps.
