Developing controls and automation deliverables for a variety of mining, energy, and infrastructure projects globally.Scope of responsibilities include: P&ID Review and Development, Instrumentation Databasing (COMOS), Package Engineering (Writing instrument/control valve/control system hardware specifications, establishing package scopes of work, conducting technical bid evaluations, etc.), authoring Control Philosophy/Level of Automation study, Design Criteria, and standard vendor specifications, developing key construction deliverables (Cable Schedules, Construction work packages, loop and interconnection drawings). Performing mechanical package vendor data and bid review. Writing process area functional descriptions (Leaching, Thickening, Precipitation, Calcining and Packaging, etc.) and PLC Functional Specifications (defining sequences, alarms and interlocks lists, and I/O mapping with several packaged equipment).Managed and reviewed instrument/I/O and cable lists. Participated in Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) for plant control system hardware (Controller panels, Remote I/O/Marshalling cabinets).Conducted discipline coordination activities including onboarding and assigning and reviewing work to junior engineers and designers, coordinating with project discipline leads for key information for deliverable development, providing technical process control and instrumentation engineering input to other disciplines.
