He carries out the responsibilities assigned to him by decision of the Mayor.Responsibilities of the Municipality’s General Secretary:- Provides instructions, gives directions and coordinates the departments of the municipality in order to accomplish their goals.- Prepares and forwards to the City Council or other relevant committees issues that require approval.- Monitors the implementation of the decisions of the City Council or other relevant committees.- Participates in the preparation of the Strategic Plan and Annual Action Plans of the Municipality.- Monitors achievement of milestones and targets.- Ensures the preparation and on time submission of all periodic reports of the municipality and informs the Executive Committee about them.- Organizes new projects created in the municipality and ensures improvement of municipal services, adapting them to the needs of the local community. - Takes measures for the improvement of the efficiency of the municipality employees and of the services provided.- On a case by case basis may call meetings with municipality departments to resolve relative issues.- Monitors the activities of subsidiary legal entities of the municipality and collaborates with their authorities in order to ensure that their results meet the objectives of the municipality.- Signs the leave of absence documents of the personnel and their official travel documents.- Signs documents under the jurisdiction assigned by the Mayor.
