I teach the minor program in Biology. In addition to this I offer electives in the cross-over disciplines of History/Philosophy/Sociology of Science (Biology/Medicine) and Performing Arts (Theatre).My areas of interest lie in the ontological questions concerning Biological Individuality and in the use of Process Metaphysics to address these questions. Specifically, I am interested in immune-pathogen interactions as model systems to understand process relational ontology of bio-phenomena. I am using processual frameworks laid down by Henri Bergson, Giles Deleuze, Alfred Whitehead, Anne Sophie Meincke and John Dupree among others.My minor interests lie in Undergraduate Biology Pedagogy specifically in the intersection of Life Sciences and Humanities education.
