When I joined the company in 2005, Razorsight was effectively a fledgling startup that was working towards bringing in venture capital funding from Sierra Ventures based in Palo Alto, CA. The mandate was to completely re-model, restructure an already existing BPO set-up and build a Product Company. The company had promising cloud based analytics technology, but only a few customers and a couple million dollars (USD) in revenue. Razorsight was an unknown brand, entering a large and highly competitive recruitment market in Bangalore. A plethora of well known, Fortune 500 technology firms dotted the Bangalore landscape.This made recruiting the best and brightest software engineers a tall challenge for a firm like Razorsight. My experience and exposure covered all aspects of HR and overall operations of the center– from strategy, planning, process, branding, employee benefits, career development , employee relations, forming a structure and creating a performance oriented culture, legal matters, talent acquisition, performance management, employee retention, financial management, coaching and mentoring, as well as executive and financial reporting. My role included advising senior executive management and board in numerous areas – both tactically and strategically.

As the organisation scaled to newer heights, went on to head the HR and Admin team for India and was responsible for creating leadership depth and a great performance oriented culture. Along with responsibilities such as managing human resources and overall administration of the center, steer- headed several global and special projects like the incorporation of the legal entity in Bangalore, India, Yahoo! restructuring program, Yahoo! global talent exchange program, branding initiatives, employee wellness programs and created a fun filled work environment in the company.

As a part of initial team at Yahoo, was instrumental in building a 600+ strong Yahoo! Software Development Centre in India. As a generalist HR, was responsible for talent acquisition, payroll processing, designing, implementing and managing HR policies and processes, benefits and awards administration, worked with the global compensation team, commissioned salary surveys and designed compensation structure for the technical team. I was also responsible for overall office administration.

Played a critical role in eSols India Pvt.Ltd., in building, shaping and establishing the organisation, from being their 1st employee, to a team size of 150 employees as well as building and leading a strong HR team of 7 employees. Roles & Responsibilities included recruiting efforts for 1 year and recruited over 80 employees supported by a team of 4 recruiters and 3 generalists.Executed general HR functions like payroll administration, and statutory compliance. Designed and implemented HR processes and policies.

Responsible for statutory compliance (PF, ESI etc), recruitment, selection, induction of employees as well as exit process.Maintained leave & attendance registers. Also responsible for wage and salary administration along with reimbursements and perks disbursement for the employees. Managed performance appraisals too.

At Mfar, trained to draft policies, designed and implemented safety measures for a construction company and was responsible for legal compliance.
