I worked on an ONGC sponsored project for Microbial Enhanced Oil Recovery (MEOR). This project constituted isolation of hyperthermophiles from oil reservoirs, having desired metabolic products for the application of recovery of crude oil from high temperature oil wells.My role involved:• Designing and optimising media that could improve the metabolite production by Hyperthermophiles for recovery of crude oil.• I was also involved in report drafting and steering overall progress of the project.

Worked on project entitled “Screening for Bio-molecules from microbial diversity collected from different ecological niches part- II-chemical characterization of selected hits for bioactivities”.-My role in the project was to supervise bulk production of the selected microbes from phase-I of the project showing potential anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory and anti-diabetic activity and preparation of extracts of the bio-molecules for molecular characterization. -I was also involved in documentation and maintenance of the highly important microbial cultures.-Alongwith the project work I was also doing PhD research in collaboration with IIT Bombay and published relevant papers for thesame.
