In January 2024, The Silk Road Department has expanded into its own business entity. Alongside my role as ECD at UNIT9 Group, I now manage the new business in a sustainable lean model.My direct responsibilities include:- Highly detailed, weekly financial reporting and revenue forecasting of the business. This was made possible with a bespoke financial reporting system I've personally written in python.- Executive Production of every project we deliver. This includes writing contracts, timelines, cost estimates and successfully managing client relationships to always leave our clients satisfied with the high level of craft and detail we put into our work.- Operations including HR policy, inter-co MSAs, efficient resource allocation and implementing new software tools to save time.- Pitching and consistently winning new work by using the latest production processes and creative thinking to create a bespoke solution for each new business opportunity.I also find and nurture our best talent in-house, developing Junior Creatives, Designers and Project Assistants into Directors and executives. I've expanded the Silk Road department by transforming it from a small pitch team into the largest department at UNIT9 Digital. With strategic hires and rational workflows it quickly became a world-spanning cross-functional team of directors, designers and producers that was key in delivering new innovative creative work across UNIT9.Responsibilities included:- Managing the growth and P&L of a department with turnover of £4M pa, consisting of 90 profiles.- Leading a team of Directors and Producers across the globe who in turn led their own teams.- Partnering with members of the Board and the rest of the Executive team to launch new commercial growth plans.- Assembling and guiding teams to win new business and deliver successful projects, which consistently innovated in a fast-paced production agency environment.- Contributing to winning new projects and accounts via ideation, strategy and cost estimates.- Executive Production of several simultaneous projects, with responsibilities over: timelines, contract negotiation, assembling the team and maximising value for clients and the business via new tools and technology.- Providing performance reports to members of the board of UNIT9 Group and achieving growth goals.

• Pitched and Won £6M of new Projects.• Led the design and delivery of 34 projects across experiential, digital, branding, video, AI & product design. for example: the design and development of a multimillion web app / product launch ( asafuturescape.org ), a platform where you can explore every US career inside a personalised galaxy, powered by Machine Learning.

Known to accelerate a pitch deck from 0 to 60 pages in 8 hours, I brought in £2Mil worth of new projects, working on 100+ pitches in this role.

Being on the panel of the daily, weekly, monthly and yearly FWA Awards (there's a lot of them) gave me daily exposure to the latest work in the digital, virtual and experiential design fields.
