    ⁃ Authored a new, robust, and computationally inexpensive methodology to calculate Markstein number and and laminar flame speed via non-linear fitting of experimental data from spherically expanding laminar flames. ⁃ Investigated the effect of heating rate on ignition of n-hexane-air mixture by modeling the problem using an extension of Semenov autoignition theory. ⁃ Extended multi-physics SOFC electrode models using Metropolis-Hastings to emulate empirical particle size distributions describing the multiphase structure of SOFC anodes to include detailed multistep surface chemistry and triple phase boundary electrochemistry. This model was used to conduct sensitivity studies between focused on electrode thickness, ionic conductor phase content, and triple phase boundary length and also allowed for performance modeling of layered electrodes.
