This included a full review and update of the spill response procedures, kits and training for the spill responders. Other projects I have led included a review and extension of the goods in area. This area was too small and poorly managed resulting in blind corners for pedestrians and bottlenecks for incoming stock. These issues were both unsafe and inconvenient. I worked on a new plan that eliminated the dangers and created an improved flow through; this was implemented in early 2017. I also was asked to find an improvement to the ergonomics in the pallet wrapping process as the operatives were required to repeatedly bend awkwardly to complete the task. After researching and trialing we implemented a product called ‘manplow’ which reduced the risk to staff by 75%.Site improvements secondment: I led a project to review, develop and implement a full plan of improvements to site ahead of audits and VIP visits.
