I am the managing director for an environmental & heritage consulting company called Petrichor. As a former zookeeper turned environmental consultant, wildlife photographer and photo naturalist, I have dedicated my life to capturing and preserving the natural world in all its glory.With a focus on conservation, I aim to capture all forms of wildlife in such a way as to relay my deep passion for the individual species, with the hope of encouraging action & awareness.I aim to live my life by the very definition of being a naturalist:“naturalist/ˈnatʃ(ə)rəlɪst/noun1. an expert in or student of natural history.synonyms: natural historian, life scientist, wildlife expert; ”With a deeply engrained passion for all wildlife, I have a special affinity for the big cat species of the world. Having been a Big Cat Handler working with both Bengal & Sumatran tigers, I have gained valuable insight and knowledge into big cat behaviour and physiology - an incredibly useful tool when photographing big cats and other predatory species in the wild.The ability to accurately judge animal behaviour and body language is vital when it comes to wildlife, and can mean the difference between capturing an incredible moment in time, or letting that chance slip away.Nature is amazing.
