I am currently a student at Northwest Renewable Energy Institute. The skills in which I acquired at NW-REI included electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, Programmable Logic Controls (PLC’s), technical writing, and safe climbing practices. Prior to attending NW-REI my job requirements included owning and operating my own mobile small gas engine and compact tractor repair. I do have many skills in welding, diagnosing electrical systems found on compact tractors and heavy-duty riding mowers. I currently own over 15 years of hand tools fully paid for and enjoy working in my shop and fixing things. I do enjoy getting out and hiking in nature. I also thoroughly enjoy competition obstacle races like the Tough Mudder, and the Spartan race.

Thank you Dwayne for giving me the opportunity to earn my C.D.L. while employed at your facility. While I worked at Scholten's Equipment in Burlington WA, I was giving the chance to repair diesel and gas tractors of various sizes and heavy-duty riding mowers. Welding was almost a weekly requirement as a technician. Driving the semi truck fully loaded with equipment for deliveries was probably the most fun part of my job reqirments. The service manager Mr. Hull is a walking encyclopedia and I would often challenge him to a daily competitons of who is smarter than who which in turn I often learned something new and exciting for the day.
