I am a Laboratory Assistant which means my area is in charge of making sure everything is correct before the testing process. We make sure that every sample is what it is supposed to be. We verify that time, date, and initials are on every sample and if not it is our job to make call the nurse and ask them. We also order testing through the software we use at the hospital, we order in house testing and outpatient testing for other laboratories across the nation.

Starting out at Journeys I was a shift lead but that lasted for a month and shortly after I was promoted to a Co-Manager and was in charge of both opening and closing procedures. This included restocking all items that were missing from the sales floor, making sure to balance the drawers for the opening shift and preparing the deposit for the closing shift. On top of that I was in charge of making sure when audits were performed that all items were accounted for.
