I am a passionate Career Practitioner with over 13 years experience in employability and career development coaching and workshop facilitation. As a Success Coach at Torrens University, I coached and supported postgraduate business students to prepare for the world of work and gain knowledge, skills and understanding of the Job Market. I provided face-to-face career coaching and developed content, resources and workshops with the purpose to improve students’ employability to reach their individualised career goals. Previously, I have worked as a Senior Workforce Transition Consultant and Career Coach in both the Private and Public Sectors (Northern Futures Inc. and the Office of the Commissioner for Public Sector Employment), where I have gained extensive knowledge and experience in transitioning staff affected by organizational change and job losses; including finding suitable alternative placements, and providing career advice, support, professional development and retraining opportunities. In my role as a Career Coach, I have assisted hundreds of clients to successfully transition to new career pathways and employment opportunities e.g. I worked with workers affected by redundancies in the Manufacturing Industry, GM Holden & the Automotive Industry, Department of Human Services (DHS) employees affected by the NDIS & Aged Care reforms; the Woolworths Indigenous Employment Projects; long-term unemployed job seekers at Career Workforce Development Centre and now postgrad business students etc.
