As the Founder of Vava Coffee, I have dedicated over a decade to building a company that connects the world to premium Kenyan coffee while empowering coffee-growing communities. I work directly with smallholder farmers and producer groups across Kenya, ensuring that they produce world-class coffee while being profitable and equipped with the resources to succeed. My mission is to create sustainable livelihoods for farmers and promote long-term, ethical sourcing.I am the Co-founder Gente Del Futuro, a transformative partnership formed in 2017 between Vava Coffee, APK, and Oro Molido. Gente Del Futuro addresses: producer profitability and youth involvement. By connecting Kenya, Tanzania, and Colombia, the initiative empowers young people through hands-on learning, sustainable coffee practices, and economic opportunities. What I Do: Direct Sourcing from Kenyan Coffee Producers: I establish long-term relationships with farmers and cooperatives to source traceable Kenyan coffee of the highest quality. My focus is on sustainability, profitability, and ensuring farmers’ long-term success. Empowering Coffee Communities: I am committed to helping coffee-growing communities thrive. Through capacity building and mentorship, I empower local producers—particularly women—to lead and drive change within the coffee sector. Storytelling Through Coffee: I believe every cup of coffee tells a story. I specialize in sharing the journeys of the farmers who grow our coffee, connecting buyers to the people and places behind the beans. This fosters a deeper, more meaningful connection with consumers.
