I mainly worked on computational physics problems in the field of semiconductor quantum dots. I also had a chance to collaborate with Janelia Research Campus on an interesting problem of mouse whisker vibrations.

This is a joint postdoc position split between U.S. Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) and George Mason University. In addition to my NRL activities described above, I worked on a tight-binding theory modeling of electronic structure of SiGe alloys.

Research-wise, my responsibilities in this position were very similar to those of Graduate Research Assistant (below) minus the teaching.

I worked on quantum models of electronic and optical properties of low-dimensional semiconductor crystals. I did both purely theoretical computational work and collaborated with other researchers to provide computational support for their experiments. I also did a lot of teaching, conferences, and paper writing.

I taught graduate and undergraduate courses in physics and chemistry, some of which are required for all chemistry, materials science, and nanotechnology freshman students.

While at Dortmund University, I worked on a collaboration project of modeling the Auger recombination in polar nitride quantum well light-emitting diodes.

I was hand-picked by the university staff to assist in the development of a new General Chemistry course textbook. My task was to translate and organize the Index section of the course textbook.
