Served as project lead for development and delivery of the Regional Catastrophic Incident Coordination Base Plan Phase I. Coordinated with local, state, and federal partners to design regional disaster constructs for mass care, evacuation, logistics, and public information and warning annexes. Worked with the FEMA Regional Catastrophic Planning Team to ensure plans were aligned with 16 counties and local jurisdictions planning efforts, and acted as liaison to community-based stakeholders throughout the planning process.Facilitated workshops and maintained project management records and milestones. Provided detailed reports to grant administrators with the City of Chicago and Illinois Terrorism Task Force.

Responsible for coordination and collaboration with government and non-governmental stakeholders to plan and implement risk-based catastrophic preparedness programs for the 8.6 million citizens in 7 county metropolitan area. Implemented new project management methods and developed customized tools for Regional Preparedness Program, a multi-year catastrophic capacity building initiative considered a national best practices model. Led a 17-member external advisory panel consisting of government, private sector, non-government and community-based stakeholders to produce a comprehensive Regional Emergency Preparedness Report for the CMAP Go To 2040 Project. CMAP is a 30-year planning and public policy initiative sponsored by the Chicago Community Trust, which benchmarks measurable indicators and provides policy recommendations in the areas of public safety, education, health care, arts and culture, and transportation for the improvement of services and quality of life in the Chicagoland region.

Selected to serve on FEMA HQ Task Force to design and implement unprecedented recruiting, deployment and training effort for 11,000 field staff responding to Hurricanes Charley, Frances and Ivan.
