Murthy is the General Manager – Grid Automation -Qatar of GE Energy Connections.Murthy is responsible for the operations, financial performance(P/L), and overall growth, services and business development for the Grid Automation business (GA) in Qatar (post the GE/Alstom integration). Set the strategy for packaged offerings, projects execution, customer service, growth, and synergy, including refurbishments, upgrades and maintenance & service agreement. Grid Automation is GE's Substation Protection & Automation business. We bring reliable, efficient energy and enable utilities and industry to manage electricity from the point of generation to the point of consumption in Qatar. We equip 50% of power utilities in Qatar; provide a competitive and broad suite of product offerings, extensive project capabilities and good local footprint to deliver more for our customers in Qatar.

1) Reviewing of process with local Operation team and prepare an improvement plan to deliver 20m+ portfolio projects. Starting from Integration process (Transfer meeting from Tender) to Execution (Project Execution Review (PER) schedule & content, Interfacing with finances, shared service or other P/L, Risks&Opportunities, Early warning BCR), to Closing (Provisions release)2) Reviewing of existing tools: Sales tracking, GM variation, PER, Portfolio management. 3) Performing a complete portfolio analysis, identify risks/exposure and upsides.
