EURAXESS Links North America is a networking tool for European and non-European researchers based in North America looking for a short or longer research stay in Europe. It provides information about research in Europe, European research policy, opportunities for research funding, for international collaboration and for trans-national mobility. The network is open to all nationalities and research fields. Membership is free.

National project funded by the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports aiming at the smooth continuation of the previous project, maintaining the EURAXESS Network in the Czech Republic for another 4 years. The Ministry is aware of the uniqueness of this initiative in the country and also of the impact the Network can have on Czech science. The Network now includes all the major universities with an R&D Department helping researchers with settling down in their host country. One of the many goals of this project is to provide full support to the newly launched big research infrastructures in the Czech Republic which will be attracting a vast array of foreign scientists to their premises. My responsibilities within this position are as follows: coordinating the national network of 8 universities, providing practical information and personalized assistance to foreign researchers and their family members including information on entry conditions, health care, accommodation, taxes, social security, schools for children etc., promoting EURAXESS at national as well as international conferences, fora, workshops, seminars and round tables, daily project management, collaborating with national authorities such as the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, Ministry of Interior and Ministry of External Affair, actively taking part in events related to mobility and career development of researchers.

Advising the EC DG RTD about the issues related to mobility of researchers (entry conditions for third country nationals, gender issues, social security, working conditions etc.) from the perspective of the Czech Republic. Sharing good practices, suggestions and recommendations

Communicating with the Committee of Regions, European Parliament, Council as well as the European Commission. Attending meetings, conferences, talks related to the regional policy and development. Writing articles for a Slovak Newsletter, submitting reports, editing a website, translating web content, welcoming Slovak policy makers, organizing discussion tables and bilateral meetings.
