• Coordinates, schedules, and oversees all survey activities and assures that work is performed efficiently and according to appropriate guidelines, procedures, and regulations. Prioritizes and coordinates work with clients, staff and agencies to ensure timely completion of work projects.• Monitors the work of assigned staff; advises, assists, and trains subordinates as necessary.• Monitors assigned staff performance and conduct in the field and reports work progress, challenges, incidents and accidents, and employee conduct and performance to the appropriate supervisor.• Oversees and/or performs a variety of surveying functions such as topographical surveys, roadelevations, and locations of existing structures/items to provide preliminary survey data to enable the design of new roads, bridges, intersections, building sites, property boundaries, or any other miscellaneous projects. Prepares maps.• Oversees or performs preliminary and final construction staking to provide contractors with exact location specifications for the building of assigned project.• Performs miscellaneous other survey functions such as cross-sectioning, slope-staking, grade-setting and re-measuring, setting and resetting monuments or boundaries, stockpile re-measures, signing, and running and marking roadways for striping crews.• Performs various administrative duties such as ordering supplies, equipment, and repairs as necessary. May assist in the preparation of the annual budget for survey activities, based on work schedules, departmental goals and staffing and equipment needs. Remains current on legislation, legal requirements, and ordinances affecting assigned area and interprets information to advise staff or subordinates of any applicable changes in procedures to reflect legal requirements.

-Checking and approval of road layer levels(Sub-grade sub-base, base and finished road levels.-Setting out of road centreline, sleeves, drainage, culverts and other features.-Carrying out of topographical surveys.-Preparation of layout and ASBuilt drawings.-Checking and approvals of formation levels before sewer pipes are laid and man hole bases are cast.-Montoring, establishment and densification of the control network.-Picking of topo to aid in the design of the sewer system and network.-Calculating Bill of Materials

i. Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys in order to describe, certify, and assume liability for work performed.ii. Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.iii. Direct or conduct surveys in order to establish legal boundaries for properties, based on legal deeds and titles.iv. Record the results of surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land or land features.v. Calculate heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, and other characteristics of terrain.vi. Prepare or supervise preparation of all data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to surveys. Develop criteria for survey methods and procedures.vii. Search legal records, survey records, and land titles in order to obtain information about property boundaries in areas to be surveyed.viii. Coordinate findings with the work of engineering and architectural personnel, clients, and others concerned with projects.ix. Determine longitudes and latitudes of important features and boundaries in survey areas, using total stations, transits, levels, and satellite-based global navigation satellite systems (GNSS).x. Train assistants and helpers, and direct their work in such activities as performing surveys or drafting maps..xiii. Prepare weekly, monthly and annual survey reports as per supervisor’s directions

i. Setting/staking out works, levelling, traversing, interpreting road, bridge, water pipeline, sewer, buildings design drawings, control survey works, reporting etc.ii. Computing geodetic measurements and interpretation of survey data in order to determine positions, shapes and elevation of topographic features.iii. 1. Cadastral Surveys: - Cadastral file compilation; Cadastral survey quality and checking; Map presentation using AutoCAD Cadastral Data Management; Cadastral data archival and retrieval. 2. Geographical Data Management: - Carried out coordinates’ transformation; Scanned maps using flatbed scanner; performed georeferencing and digitizing of maps. 3. Geodetic Surveys: - Did GNSS, RTK and Static field operations and observations; Performed field data collection using handheld GPS, Total Station and RTK; data download and transfer via Import/Export, editing and setting data parameters for post processing. 4. Map Production: - Actively involved in map design, creation, alignment of graphics, annotations and printing. The maps created involves thematic, topographical (1:50,000), cadastral maps etc.

Carried out searching of existing Beacons using Leica 900 RTK; Marking and setting new IPC beacons on the land parcels; Carried out periodic surveys; Casted ground beacons to about 700 land parcels; Developed digital parcel demarcations for land parcels; Prepared all data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to field surveys.
