I worked in the Big Data Insights Development group at the AT&T Big Data Center of Excellence (BD-COE) in Plano, TX. I worked as part of small teams of developers and data scientists that delivered rapid solutions that generated value for AT&T business units in chatbot applications, Machine-to-Machine (M2M) Internet of Things (IoT), Supply Chain, and Network Access Management. • Led the AI portion of a chatbot project that provides support to technicians in field service situations. Responsibilities include design of the conversational service and leading data scientists to deliver a solution. Deep learning is one of the solution approaches I worked on for this project.• Started the Network Access portfolio of projects from scratch and grew it to an annual savings value of $10M+ within 1 year. Led a team of developers and data scientists to scope projects, staff teams, develop insights and present results to clients and BD-COE leadership.• Analytics team leader for the Connected Car project for AT&T's Internet of Things (IoT) business unit. Coordinated the work of 4 data scientists and developers, and acted as the analytics liaison for the overall team which comprised of more than 30 professionals across AT&T. • Technical lead for the Digital Life Care (DLC) project for AT&T's IoT business unit. Mapped out the technical requirements for the various phases of the analytics insights development process. Developed machine learning models.

• Initiated and managed R&D software projects in a variety of domains: information security, supply chain management and e-Procurement, agent-based scheduling/planning, simulation/training, information integration over wireless networks, infrastructure protection (game-theory based cybersecurity), and new product development.• Developed 3 enterprise software products: a strategic planning tool for homeland security/information warfare/information security, an executive decision support tool for managing portfolios of new products (PPM), and an e-Procurement/supply-chain tool. The PPM product concept was validated with some pre-sales customers.• Responsible for overall research direction, software architecture, product design/development, preparation of reports/proposals/presentations, billing, business development and client interactions.• Gained broad experience in consulting as well as in technology commercialization (pre-sales activities).
