I am currently a student of the veterinary technology program at Mercy College. I've always knew I wanted to work with animals and 4 years ago I was able to get my first hands on experience through dog walking. This helped me expose myself to animal behavior as well as restraint. It also helped me get an internship opportunity and eventually my current job. I have now gained many skills that have been very helpful and essential to my career. The experience that I've been able to gain through my education and internships have been very valuable to the knowledge I have now and they assure me everyday of how much I love veterinary medicine.
