Hello, I'm Vinícius, a Senior Data Scientist at Paraná Banco, where I serve as the technical lead for the Data Science team. Currently, I develop hybrid models combining machine learning and operational research to optimize contract portability, assess credit risk, and price financial products. These models are directly applied in operations and have helped the bank grow and stand out in the payroll loan market.My journey as a Data Scientist began over six years ago, during which I gained experience in various sectors, such as industry, logistics, agriculture, food, and finance. Throughout my career, I have consistently aimed to develop solutions that streamline processes and create business value.In logistics, I worked at RUMO, the largest railway company in Latin America, where I created safety models to detect defects on railways, and led projects to improve energy efficiency and vehicle monitoring.In the agricultural sector, I contributed at BRF, one of the world’s largest food companies, developing predictive models to identify risks of salmonella and mortality during transportation. I also conducted training on programming best practices, CI/CD, and version control. In the industrial sector, I had the opportunity to work at Ubivis, a startup focused on Industry 4.0, where I collaborated on projects for companies such as Electrolux, Usiminas, and Nestlé, focusing on anomaly detection and equipment control.
