Operations Manager
Current• Manage overall operations for effective and successful management of labor, productivity, quality control, and safety measures for a team of 30 employees within a time-sensitive production environment.• Create and execute a strategic sales and marketing plan to strengthen current customer relations and expand our customer base to achieve annual sales targets.• Develop and implement overall preventative maintenance plans and emergency repairs of the production and office facility, production equipment, technology, and fleet of vehicles.• Lead business development by identifying and evaluating opportunities for expansion and growth through capital investment or new business relationships.• Actively manage P&L, examine financial data and financial statements, lead period financial reviews, communicate scorecard updates, and execute other reports for upper management.• Ensures robust safety culture facilitated through proactive culture, training, and inspections to exceed worksafe standards.• Manage data collection for the updating of metrics to achieve productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service to deliver quality on-time to our customers.• Conduct interviews and make hiring decisions; train new and existing employees; establish performance goals and measures; coach and support career development; address employee performance and corrective action plans; and motivate through tailored recognition and rewards.• Maintain constant communication and relationships with key vendors to optimize pricing, rebates, service, and ongoing management of inventory and warehouse optimization.• Increase the efficiency of existing processes and procedures to enhance the company’s internal capacity.• Work closely with legal and safety to ensure that contracts and agreements are conducive and compliant.• Establish cross-functional teams to improve processes and systems, including ERP and other software.
