    Research Focus: Developing design methodology for high-frequency transformer using multi-objective optimization• Constructed a high-frequency core-type transformer to include in an isolated unidirectional DC-DC converter, while adhering to insulation requirements.• Performed characterization of the high-frequency transformer using experimental procedures. • Established computationally efficient method to perform magnetic analysis of a core-type high-frequency transformer. This enabled accurate estimation of transformer leakage inductance and normalized flux densities in the windings. Validated the magnetic analysis using Finite Element Analysis and experimental results.• Simplified the time domain simulation of a candidate DC-DC converter to estimate the high frequency harmonics in the transformer currents necessary for loss calculations. • Surveyed analytical methods to calculate the parasitic capacitance in high frequency magnetic components.• Investigated the common mode conduction in the high-frequency transformer and its mitigation by using Faraday shield.
