Over the course of four months, from October to January, I completed a research internship on Natural Language Processing (NLP) at the NVIDIA center of excellence in AI and DL. During this time, I worked alongside my teammate Divya Dhage on a project focused on sentiment analysis for Indic languages such as Gujarati, Marathi, and Punjabi alongside developing a UI to interact with the trained models.Under the guidance of our coordinators Madhuri Tayal and Ashwini Zadgaonkar, we gained hands-on experience in developing and applying NLP models to analyze the sentiment of text data in multiple languages. This involved working with various NLP techniques, such as tokenization, part-of-speech tagging, ML and sentiment analysis algorithms.Throughout the internship, we also had the opportunity to collaborate with other researchers and developers, learn from their experiences, and share our own insights. This helped us to develop a deeper understanding of the current trends and challenges in the field of NLP and machine learning.Overall, the internship was an enriching and rewarding experience that allowed me to hone my skills in NLP and gain valuable insights into the practical applications of this technology. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work with such a talented team and to have been supported by the HOD of the CS and IT department of my college.
