In December 2020, I joined Team Jaabaz within the Transmission Department, undertaking the responsibility of designing simulations for the 2-stage gearnox and differential of our 4-wheel-drive ATV, specifically for the 2020 Arizona event. Following this initial role, I experienced significant professional growth and was promoted to the position of Transmission Head in 2022.As the Transmission Head, my primary responsibilities expanded to encompass the comprehensive management of the entire transmission department. This included overseeing the design and assembly processes for engine shafts, gearboxes, and differentials. A key aspect of my role involved optimizing existing components to enhance overall performance. In addition to the intricate tasks of transmission component management, I actively collaborated with other department heads and worked closely with the team captain. The goal was to ensure seamless coordination and foster continuous improvement initiatives for the upcoming 2023 BAJA SAE Ohio event.This journey from designing simulations for specific components to overseeing the entire transmission department signifies a substantial progression in my career within Team Jaabaz. The focus on optimization and collaboration underscores our commitment to achieving excellence in preparation for the challenging BAJA SAE Ohio event in 2023.

During my internship at CEAT Tyres, Nagpur Plant, I had the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge about the processes involved in tyre building and manufacturing. This included understanding the various stages and techniques used in the production of tyres.One of the key skills I acquired during my internship was Value Stream Mapping (VSM). I learned how to analyze and optimize the flow of materials and information in the manufacturing process. This involved identifying areas of waste and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency.To put my knowledge into practice, I took on a project aimed at increasing the plant's capacity to produce 89,000 tyres per day. As part of this project, I conducted a VSM for the proposed capacity and identified potential bottlenecks and areas for improvement. Through this exercise, I was able to propose strategies to optimize the operation and increase overall plant productivity.In addition to my project work, I was also given the opportunity to prepare a presentation on the Value Stream Mapping Journey of the Nagpur plant. This presentation was shared during a plant visit by Mr. N. Ramanathan, a renowned academician. I explained how VSM had been implemented at the plant and highlighted the benefits achieved through this approach.Overall, my internship at CEAT Tyres provided me with valuable insights into the tyre manufacturing process and allowed me to apply my knowledge of Value Stream Mapping to enhance plant capacity and productivity. The opportunity to present my findings to a respected academician further enhanced my learning experience.

During my time in the Engine Assembly Department at Mahindra and Mahindra Tractor manufacturing plant, I was assigned a project focused on addressing EGR leakage in the 4905AGMC2, 41125AGMC2, and 4725AMC2 Genset engines. This project provided me with valuable insights into problem identification, definition, and resolution.As I delved into the issue, I learned how to analyze formal and informal structures within the manufacturing facility. This understanding enabled me to identify the root causes of the EGR leakage and devise implementable actions to address them. By exercising sound judgment and making informed decisions, I was able to propose viable solutions to the problem.Additionally, embarking on this project exposed me to the intricacies of how a manufacturing facility operates and how it caters to market demands. I gained valuable knowledge about the assembly process, quality control, and the importance of meeting customer expectations.By following the suggestions I provided, we were able to achieve a significant reduction in EGR leakage. Specifically, the leakage issue was alleviated by 50%. This outcome demonstrates the effectiveness of the strategies and actions I recommended.Overall, this project provided me with a comprehensive understanding of problem-solving in a manufacturing environment. It also allowed me to contribute to the improvement of engine assembly processes and meet the market demands more efficiently.
