I love writing code!I remember when I first wrote my "Hello, world" program in python; I felt it is very powerful being able to get a computer to do what I wanted and since then I fell in love with coding. During my undergrad, I independently read articles and took tutorials to learn how to code. I also reported a vulnerability in an exam taking website, which University staff were very appreciative. This passion carried me through my Master's degree at Fontbonne where I learned: Java, data structures, algorithms, cyber security, data mining and operating systems. While pursuing my Master's, I developed an Android application that has thousands of downloads and good feedback from users around the world. I am obsessed with the idea of coding to solve real world problems. At professional level, this passion to solve real world problems still remains with me. When I first joined Caterpillar as a contractor, I developed an iOS app in my own time to demonstrate my idea of how to increase parts sales revenue. It was well liked by business stakeholders and due to my innovative approach and work ethic, my contract quickly turned into a full-time salaried offer. My specialties include developing highly scalable and fault tolerant microservices using Java and Spring boot. I am highly skilled in building RESTful API's. Experienced in securing web applications using OAuth2.0. Additionally, I have experience working with PostgreSQL, MySQL databases, problem solving and troubleshooting issues on prod, developing web applications using Python and Django frameworks, Linux, JavaScript, and Android framework utilizing Java. Recently I am very much interested into learning about Artificial Intelligence and Cloud Technologies.
